Participants and carers
We provide participants in the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme with treatment, rehabilitation and care.
Using the Scheme
After you apply and have been accepted as an interim participant in the Scheme, we will pay for the treatment, rehabilitation and care related to your motor accident injuries for the first two years.
Types of support
The Lifetime Care and Support Scheme can pay for treatment, rehabilitation and care services related to your motor accident injuries.
Your contact at LTCS
Your LTCS coordinator is your main contact at the Lifetime Care and Support Authority. Their job is to work with case managers and service providers to help you get the support that’s available through the Scheme.
My Plan is a new way we put you at the center of decision making, and help you to have more choice and control in identifying your goals and support needs.
Information on Case Managers
A case manager will usually coordinate your treatment, rehabilitation and care in the early stages after your injury. They may also coordinate your treatment during times of change, like changing school, work or moving home.
Managing your supports
We are able to offer participants, whose needs have stabilised, the opportunity to have more choice and control in managing some or all of their supports.
We pay for attendant care to help you or a person you care for live at home where possible.
An advocate is person who helps you solve a problem you might have with us, or a service provider. They speak on your behalf to protect and promote your rights and interests.
Disputes about your needs
You may disagree with us on a decision we’ve made about your treatment, rehabilitation or care needs.
Compliments and complaints
We encourage you to give feedback that will help us improve the services provided to you. We are committed to responding quickly and fairly to all feedback and complaints about the Scheme.
Participant information sheets
We have a range of information sheets for participants and carers that provide additional information on the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and the services we provide.
