Review of the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme

The NSW Parliament Standing Committee on Law and Justice has announced the commencement of the review of the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme.

The Committee is a parliamentary committee in the Upper House. The Committee’s role is to review the operation of the Scheme. The Committee’s Terms of Reference prevents them from investigating individual participants, applications or claims for compensation.

The review will happen jointly with a review of the Dust Diseases Scheme.

Participants and stakeholders are encouraged to make a submission to the Committee about the operation of the Scheme. Submissions are due by Sunday 23 April 2017.
