The Authority runs a number of workshops throughout the year for service providers. All workshops are advertised on this website and in the E-News. To subscribe to the LTCS E-News click here.

The Authority will add to the service provider training program throughout the year. 

 


 

Workshops scheduled for 2012


Introduction to the Scheme workshops

The Lifetime Care and Support Authority runs workshops for service providers who work with (or are planning to work with) people who are participants in the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme.

The workshop is suitable for service providers who are not familiar with the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme. The workshop is also suitable for service providers who are looking to gain up to date information about the Scheme and how to work with the Authority

Workshop Objectives

Participants will have an increased understanding of:

· The Lifetime Care and Support Scheme

· The role of the Lifetime Care and Support Authority 

· The eligibility criteria for participation in the Scheme

· The application process 

· What is considered treatment rehabilitation and Care (TRAC) and what are the reasonable and necessary criteria

· How to request services in the Scheme

· How to work with the Scheme.

The Authority will be running CANS training in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Studies Unit Sydney Medical School.

 FIMŪ Credentialing Training

The Authority runs FIMŪ training in conjunction with the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre (AROC). The Authority will pay for the workshop and manual for service providers to participants in our Scheme. The fee to sit the credentialing exam is the expense of the service provider.
